Gordon Monsen – Principal. Gordon brings over 30 years of varied experience in the capital markets, with significant expertise in the structuring, rating and sales of asset-backed securities, as well as mortgage-backed securities and mortgages. Prior to Longships, Gordon was CEO and Founder of The Norseman Group, an investment banking boutique dedicated to applying structured finance to real estate investment. As a Managing Director at PaineWebber, Gordon was responsible for the securitization and placement of more than $4 Billion in asset-backed securities. Prior to PaineWebber, Gordon was a Managing Director at Bear Stearns in their fixed income group. Previously, he was President of the Mortgage Division at Telerate/Dow Jones, responsible for all mortgage products and markets.
John W. Palmer, CFA – Principal. John brings over 25 years of experience in the single-tenant, net lease property market. He has worked variously as a banker, lender and investor in the commercial real estate market. Previously he served as Director of Acquisitions for Global Net Lease Partners, an investment fund sponsored by CBRE Investors, which focused on single tenant, net lease investments. Acquisitions included net leased office, industrial, and research lab facilities. Previously, John was a principal in a joint venture partnership with Credit Suisse First Boston which originated and closed over $1.3 billion of CMBS loans. John is a Chartered Financial Analyst (CFA) and a member of the New York Society of Security Analysts (NYSSA).
